Greetings!
We are less than 2 weeks away from the Preferred Care Rochester Marathon on Sunday, September 16th, 2007 and include a Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay event.
As we get closer this newsletter will be a key communication method for you to get the most up to date information about this event. Please feel free to forward this to any party you believe would benefit from such notices.
In the coming days, we will be detailing every aspect of this event so it can be as seamless as possible for you and your cheering fans on race day. So please take the time to read this newsletter so you can be as informed as possible.

| Strongly Seeking Road Marshals
Need your help
We are in strong need of road marshals for the full and half marathon. If you have nothing to do on Sunday, September 16th and would like to help the Rochester Community and its runners/walkers, please contact Nicole Mau at nmau@arthritis.org.
The Road Marshal roles involves being assigned to an intersection on course where you will inform runners/walkers of crossing vehicles and vice versa, inform vehicles of the athletes crossing. The most amazing part of this role, is that you get to be up close to the action and cheer cheer cheer. You will serve as a motivation for these athletes and these athletes in turn will be so greatful for your support.
The time commitment indeed can be anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 6 hours, but simply let Nicole know what you can do.
In return you will get a shirt, tickets to an Amerks Game, food AND best of all that philanthropic feeling that you helped someone that day.

Price Increases after September 7th
Go ahead - make that committment. The current fee is $60 for the 26.2 Mile Marathon, $50 for the 13.1 Mile Half Marathon or $140 for the Marathon Relay until September 7th. You can register online, download an app and mail it in or drop an app off at the Arthritis Foundation at 3300 Monroe Avenue in Rochester, NY 14518. Registrations are rolling in with numbers higher than both 2005 and 2006 so far. Come join this Rochester fun!! | |
